Kiss a Pig
BIG SMOOCH Graysville Commissioner Bob Harrold garnered the most $1 votes in the Kiss-A-Pig Contest on Saturday and won the “honor” to kiss a pig. Mayor Andy Beene (right) and Vice Mayor Charles E. In other news of Dayton taking over the world, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have reportedly ordered a hobby horse online from a local man that carves them by hand. Apparently, the man has also carved the traditional child's toy for several other notable notables like the King of Sweden. Details are forthcoming.
And Rhea County Schools Superintendent Dallas Smith has made headlines across the country for deciding to cancel school last Monday and Friday "to save fuel costs." From the looks of it, Mr. Smith never really got approval for the action and actually may have broken the law. Here's the AP link. All from a sleepy little town in the East Tennessee hills.
