To be honest with you

Honesty and transparency rank fairly high on the list of things a person needs to effectively minister and lead others to spiritual growth. Few people exhibit these qualities like my pastor. Most Wednesday nights around this time I would be leaving our regular Bible study at his home, but he canceled this week's study Sunday morning from the pulpit because he had tickets to the Tennessee-Kentucky basketball game in Knoxville.

There's something really refreshing about a minister that can admit that to his congregation. I'm giving Carter two big boo-yahs.
