Xanga has mildly freaked me out of late, which partially explains my absence.
And I'm still not quite sure I want to re-enter Xangaville where anyone and everyone can enter my life and know my innermost thoughts. Though I like it for keeping up with friends and family, it still doesn't really allow me to say what I want to say some times. If there were some better way to limit viewing I'd feel better, maybe I'll start another site or something, but in the meantime while I'm thinking of what to do next, I thought I'd go ahead and upload these pics of my recent shark encounter in Florida. (To those back home: don't let Dad see these. He'll never let you guys go to the beach again.)

A sand shark. A non-people eater, but still a tad intimidating. Five-feet or so long, and maybe 80 pounds. The pic below gives better perspective.

Yeah, see. It's not so big, though the same guy caught a 7-footer a few days earlier. Still, they're harmless, really, and misunderstood. Just give 'em some lovin' and they'll curl up beside you like a lapcat ona cold December day...
