The legs in the foreground belong to the knucklehead that almost caused this mule deer to charge me. I had worked my way back into the woods and was peacefully watching the deer when Joe Nobrains decided to get a prize-winning photo of the deer's derrier. Immediately, the deer sensed that it was being encircled and started toward me. Fortunately, I was already halfway back to the car, and Joe got his way-cool butt photo. Way to go Joe!

Oddly enough, the 15-mile or so stretch of road connecting Yellowstone and the Tetons is not paved. But it yielded some excellent views.
