Welcome to small-town life

Working for a newspaper in a small town brings many enjoyable oddities to my life...often coming in the form of strange conversations. Here's today's installment.

Phone rings at work
"Hello, this is Matt."
"Hi, this is Angie from the dialysis clinic."
"Um, yes?"
"I'm calling for one of our patients."
"Okay (imagine puzzled look)."
"What time does the Red Bank/Knox Central game start tonight?"
"I think 7. Most playoffs game start at 7."
"Okay."
Hangs up phone.
