Darion Dunn turns 28 today

Darion was one of my best friends in first through fourth grades when I attended Mt. Carmel Christian School...at least I think he was. I'm not sure since we haven't talked in 18 years. I only know it's his birthday because it was two days before my own and I felt like that made us cool or something. He liked G.I. Joes and Transformers and the Karate Kid and Cosby Show, and that was the only real necessary connection for kids in the 80s to be friends.

Thanks to Google I know that since I last saw Darion:

1. He graduated from Georgia Tech (he can't be that bad a person) with a BS in civil engineering

2. Had a 3.98 GPA

3. Enjoys weightlifting

4. Was a member of "Low Down" Kappa Lambda Delta

5. And was nicknamed "Dr. Feelgood" by his frat brothers.

"Dr. Feelgood" wasn't exactly the name I thought of when Darion used to peg me with four-square balls in recess, but he was cool for a fourth-grader.

And he shares a birthday with the one and only Chuck Norris.
